Most tiling problems are really waterproofing problems, showing up two years later as a leaking wall or a lifted floor. The membrane is where the corner gets cut on a job done to a price, because no one can see it once the tiles are on.


On most jobs the waterproofer and the tiler are two different trades. If a leak appears, each one blames the other.

We waterproof to AS 3740, the Australian Standard for waterproofing of domestic wet areas. The standard is the floor we work from, not the target we aim for. On our jobs the membrane is photographed before tiling, so the hidden work is on the record.
